I had worked for over a decade with several persons at Turbonomic in a former employer so I do not think I really needed any poking at. They knew my plusses and minuses. But I got detail tested on one technology I failed because not recently used, And I got failed on a logic probe which was cute but not relevant to anything, after about 4 hours other interviewing. Obviously I was not hired. So if you interview with Turbonomic be up to date on whatever technology they're going to want you to instant-code in (I was never a Usain Bolt coder) and know the tricks of finding palindromes in a random character string. 40+ years experience carefully writing low-bug code in numerous languages and helping customers and coworkers with their problems not enough, at least if you are not a good self-salesperson, which I did not enter the interview thinking would be my only possibly successful tactic for getting hired. I had not interviewed for any job for 18+ years and I was not prepared. So I guess I got what I deserved. I wish them all the best in what looks like a very challenging product mission. The office was lovely and well fringe-benefitted, so it looked like a nice place to work.
