      Agile Program Manager Interview

      Jun 17, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Twilio

      Interview

I had a call with one of the recruiters via Zoom. It was at 8:30pm my time as the recruiter is based in the States. I was told that the position is actually a Scrum Master not an Agile Program Manager as advertiser which confused me a bit. Recruiter couldn't answer the questions like: - What are the benefits? or - What could be the next steps in their organisation after a Scrum Master position? or - Are you using any Agile frameworks? or - What is the salary expectation? We agreed that the recruiter would find out what the salary expectation could be and come back to me. Based on the answer we would have decided if we were moving on with the application or not. I have waited for a week, then pinged and got the following answer: "Per our conversation, it didn't sound like the role was the right fit for what you are looking for. Are you interested in a dedicated scrum master role?" I said that this is not what we agreed on and explained what we agreed on. I did not receive a reply. This whole process was very frustrating, unprofessional and a waste of time. Hope everybody else has a better experience :)

      Question 1

Don't remember the questions so much, the recruiter mostly told me about the company.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio (Denver, CO) in May 2020

      Interview

Process moved extremely quickly, I never had to follow up for feedback or next steps and had an offer within 3 weeks of applying. Interviewers were all very nice, respectful, and knowledgeable. The questions were challenging but fair and relevant to the role. Overall, so stoked to be joining this team and company!
