      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Twilio

      Interview

From start to finish, the interview process was efficient, professional yet warm and friendly, and logistically sound (the best virtual interview experience I had). I interviewed with many major, well-known companies and was most impressed with Twilio's interview process. 1st round: call with recruiter who provided more detail on the role and team and asked questions about my professional background and expectations 2nd round: video call with manager to discuss technical background 3rd round: five 45 min conversational video calls with members of the team I would be working with; blend of understanding my technical chops and getting to know me; included "bar raiser" interview that is essentially behavioral interview questions where you can demonstrate how you've exhibited Twilio's values In my experience, Twilio does not attempt to trick you or ask unusual questions. The interview process is a fair assessment of your ability to perform the work you are interviewing for and assess your fit at the company.

      Question 1

Describe a time you took a risk and explain what you learned by being bold (one of Twilio's values)? What are your salary expectations?
