An hour-long interview that covers standard questions such as “Tell me about yourself,” “Why do you want to work at Tyson & Mendes?” and “What are your weaknesses?” The conversation goes in depth, the interview itself feels strong and engaging, and benefits are discussed toward the end, only for the firm to ultimately decide not to move forward.

Two step interview. One via phone and one in person. Met the manager and partner. Casual conversation made it a little less tense. Asked about experience and what skills i could bring to a growing firm.

I applied earlier this year. I got an interview within a few days. While waiting for Kimberly Pimley, who was the person who interviewed me, I noticed the beautiful building. I noticed the employees that came in and out of the building.. to get coffee... as a group!... I remember casual clothes. I knew that is where I wanted to work. I don't remember what Kimberly asked me exactly, but I thought the interview went well.... as most of my interviews do. After a few days of no call, I emailed the original person who emailed me for a follow up, and this was their response, "Thank you for your time and interest in Tyson & Mendes. While your resume and background is impressive, we have determined that our needs are best met by someone with a different level of experience. We will keep your resume on file should our needs change." As with a few other legal assistants/paralegals I know that have interviewed for the same position, did not get a call back, or the same type of response to a follow up email. I got another interview 6 months later (I don't think they remember I applied again), but this Firm has a clear warning sign for those seeking employment as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal. This firm has a job positing up almost every week, with sometimes a few postings up at the same time! Either these people like to interview for fun to keep their employees busy, OR they hire and fire people like they change underwear (I hope).
