I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at U.S. Bank (Gilbert, AZ) in Jun 2024
Interview
I had just been laid off from U.S. Bank after working there for "eight" years and applied for an in-store Banker position (CRC is the new fancy name).
The first question the recruiter asked me was:" So tell me, are you familiar with U.S. Bank's culture?"... NO JOKE.
I was speechless, then I gently explained how after having worked in various roles for the past "8" years I know blah blah blah...
She responded:" Oh so you've worked for us"...
Absolutely Shocked
I would like to point out how as a former employee and a severance impacted employee, my applications DO LOOK different to the recruiters, so I'm not sure how she missed that.
Phone screen with recruiter, 7 questions max about customer satisfaction, problem resolution risk management… then hiring manager asks 10-12 questions or so, 30-40 minutes on average. Very easy if you have experience on banking and show willingness to be the best employee ever
