The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at U.S. Bank (Nampa, ID) in Aug 2011
Interview
Found the job posting for In-Store Banker on the U.S. Bank website. The online form that you have to fill out for the job is pretty self-explanatory and asks basic questions regarding personal info and work experience. I was contacted the next day by the branch manager at the location I had applied for the job. He conducted a 30-minute impromptu phone interview in which he asked me questions regarding sales and customer service experience. Questions ranged from "tell me about a previous sales job and how you met the goals set forth for you" to "how do you make a customer feel special?". I was very honest in my answers. For example, when he asked me if I had previous experience with loans, particularly home refinance loans, I answered that I did not, but would be more than willing to learn about it in order to excel in the job. Following the phone interview, he schedule a panel interview to take place four days later at the U.S. Bank corporate office in downtown Boise. At the panel interview, I was asked questions by the branch manager that had called me and two other branch managers. The interview consisted of questions regarding the length of time I would be willing to commit to the company and how I felt about standing all day inside and carrying out not only banker duties, but also teller tasks such as making deposits, cashing checks, etc. I was honest with them and told them I did not plan on working for the bank for more than a couple of years, as I anticipate attending graduate school soon. They appreciated my honesty. Following the interview, which lasted 30 minutes, it took 6 days to hear back from the branch manager who had initially interviewed me. He called to tell me I had been chosen for the job and would need to go into the corporate office for fingerprinting. I started work a week after this phone call.
Pretty Standard interview process. The interview process is pretty much what you would expect from this type of job. Nothing in particular about the interviews process stood out or was out of the ordinary. It is pretty much standard.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at U.S. Bank (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I submitted my application online through their website. I received a call a week later from one of the recruiters, she did a phone interview and asked me about my previous job and experience, and why I wanted to work for them. Another week later I got a called from the branch manager to go interview, so I went the next day and he asked me a few other interview questions, more detailed. It seem like he liked my answers and I felt very confident, due to my previous job which was a lot similar to what I was applying for. He said they would let know if they would give me and offer by the end of the week. I went home and about 2 hours later I received a call with an offer. I'm just waiting for my start date.
