I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UBS (Airoli) in Dec 2017
Interview
I applied to UBS for a Java Developer's profile. The process started in the morning. First there was a written test. It was basically scenario based questions. Scenarios were listed down, and we were supposed to write down the java code or sql query for a given use case. After the test there was a direct face to face interview. There was no filtering after the test, candidates were directly eligible for the interview where the interviewer was going through the answers we have given.
I would say my performance in the test and interview was good, but still I did not clear the interview. Have no idea why I did not make it. I guess the interviewers are just rejecting candidates for no reason. Wish there was a transparency in the interview process or at least UBS HR will interfere in the interview process to see exactly why the candidate is getting rejected for no reason. At least in that case, the interviewer will be answerable to the HR of why he or she is rejecting someone. Not at all satisfied, feels like there is no value for the talent in this organization, there are just bunch of people who want to reject you even though you have performed well enough.
Total waste of time and completely unfair process. Unexpected form such a big firm. Guess the firm is just made of narrow minded people
I joined for a junior role and the interview process was very straightforward. First step was filling some online forms about general fit. Then a technical interview over Teams - no live coding was involved, only questions about my past experience, the technologies I worked with and how I would solve problem xyz. After that it's straight to manager interview and decision.
