      I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UC Santa Barbara (Goleta, CA) in May 2012

      I had to contact one of my old professor whose class I did well in and whose unit operations lab, I excelled in. He told me to contact his grad student who was looking for a lab help for the summer. After exchanging emails, I got the position.
