      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UC Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA) in Oct 2012

      Interview

Submitted my resume and cover letter via Gaucholink. Spoke to one of the IT directors over the phone and was then brought in for interview. Interviewed with the Help Desk manager and the IT operations manager. The interview was pretty straightforward with basic IT related questions. They just wanted to know if I could solve basic OS and software related issues and a few minor hardware problems. Both very nice people. Was then offered to start work not during the current quarter, but the following quarter.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Describe the relationship between the operating system, user interface/software/programs, and the code behind them.
