Tell me about a time when you had to overcome diversity
I applied online. I interviewed at UCHealth (Aurora, CO)
Interview
1. 30 Minute telephone phone screen with hiring manager.
2. One-hour group panel interview with team of six. I had to present a 10 minute powerpoint presentation of a project I worked on. I spent many hours preparing.
3. One-hour interview with the hiring manager and had to present the same 10 minute powerpoint presentation.
I was asked to have 5 previous supervisors and peers submit long detailed references with twenty questions rating my performances on a scale of 1-7 (I had to submit their information and have them complete the questions within a 48 hour window).
I never received a response either way.
All that work, wasting my time and the time of my valuable references. As a professional, the reference step is the most upsetting. How many times is it acceptable to ask people to fill out long reference questionnaires immediately? I just wasted one of those favors for nothing.
This experience was unprofessional and very disrespectful.
