I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UNDP (New York, NY) in Apr 2015
Interview
Applied online and had a phone interview scheduled by email. Interview was not hard and asked very general questions, the typical walk through resume, describe preivous experiences. describe computer skills etc. The position was not technical and the questions were also not very technical. After the interview soon they made an internship offer which I accepted.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at UNDP (Islamabad, Islamabad)
Interview
Very easy, and straightforward. Asked your usual interview questions. Shared stuff about the role. The interviewer and I went to the same university, so there were also university centric questions like what I was studying and courses I was taking.

Question 1
Please introduce yourself and what you are currently studying.
They made a mistake and gave me the wrong date. The interviewer warned that I would be doing overtime during the weekend. The questions were all generic and to be expected.
2 interviewers (those who would be my supervisors, not HR/recruitment personnel) 4 questions that should be answered in approximately 5 minutes each, then 5 minutes at the end for logistical details and questions, and opportunity to ask questions.
