Applied online through UNICEF website. Waited for 3 weeks until they sent the invitation to take technical assessment. Technical assessment consisted of 3 questions mostly on how to convince donors to give contribution, how to secure continued contribution, how to address donor's concerns and how to overcome those concerns, give example on how UNICEF deals with others companies and how was the results - you can see that some are quite technical to those new to the position. Disturbing things happening here. There were 3 candidates including myself on Teams meeting and I could see all their names appearing on my laptop for the whole time we took the test (Been asked to open VDO but can mute). After I finished the task I googled the other candidates and one of them is already a Fundraising Specialist for years at UNICEF!!! As an organization believing in Integrity, Transparency, Accountability blah blah I can't imagine how the other candidates are going to be treated equally, let alone fairly. Considering one candidate has been doing the same job and gaining access to UNICEF's grant proposals, letter of intentions, etc for years I think this recruitment process is just a joke. I would love to hear from someone from UNICEF to tell me my understanding has been wrong.
