I was told by the HR to go to the wrong location for face-to-face interview, hence it became phone interview. During the phone interview, I told them my expectations for the role as it was only a contract position and I was holding a permanent position. I went through the first interview and they requested me to go down again for the second interview to meet with the manager whom I failed to meet. I asked them if they were able to consider my expected salary, they said yes. The meeting went well, so they made me an offer. The offer was not even at my current drawn salary package and it was a contract position. They changed their words saying that their budget was maxed at this offered package. It would be good to let me know in advance so I didn't have to waste my time and annual leave for the interview. No sincerity from this company at all despite being a well-known MNC.
