I applied online. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Franklin Park, IL) in Jul 2015
Interview
After I applied I was sent an email right away to take a personality assessment. After that I received an email right away to schedule for the postal exam 473. As soon as I took it before I even left the building I received my score an 86. After that about two weeks later my status online changed from application submitted to in hiring. Shortly aftee I received a packet in the mail to fill out with my interview date. The packet advised I had to obtain my drivers abstract. Once I arrived for my interview I was asked for my abstract and when I presented it I was advised that although my driving record was clean because there was a break in my record in the last two years due to me not having renewed my drivers license on time after it expired in 2014, I did not qualify and the interview ended there. The way to check on your drivers abstract in Illinois is under "cont. date" on the top right hand corner. I can however still apply for other positions that do not require driving so I am still hopeful.
