I first applied for the position online. After that I was invited to do an online assessment. After that I set up a phone call with a recruiter. The next steps I was told were an interview with the hiring manager and one more interview after that. It was a few weeks between from when I completed the assessment to the phone screen. I guess I caught the recruiter on a "bad" day. They were late to my call and kept having "technical" issues. They also seemed to be putting words in my mouth and clearly didn't seem interested to talk to me. At least they gave a quick rejection for what it's worth. It was weird to me that they were asking about what I specifically was asking for compensation wise. I have been asked before something like does the compensation range fit with what you are looking for in your next position, but I was asked for specifics.

Long drawn out process to ultimately not receive an offer. Complete waste of time for a position in San Francisco with below market pay. Recruiter phone screen, manager screen and then a final interview where I put together a slide deck for a mock pitch which wasn’t even used on the call but rather did a mock call with a restaurant. FYI I used to work for Uber and left on good standing and the previous job I held was literally the same type of role but with a competitor and they felt other candidates were better. Very laughable, good luck to anyone who applies in the future.
