The interview process left me with concerns about both the hiring process and the company. Before the interview, I was required to complete multiple assessments, including a sales aptitude test filled with sales terminology, despite applying for a Web Designer role with no sales responsibilities. When I questioned it, I was told it was used to measure speed and agility, which never made sense to me. During the interview, I was given additional timed assessments. When I asked what they were measuring, no one could explain how they were used or what they evaluated. The interviewer also told me she was sick and was visibly ill during our in-person interview, so I didn't understand why the interview wasn't moved to a phone or video call. I also left without a clear understanding of whether the role was web design, web development, or a combination of both because several of my questions couldn't be answered. On the positive side, the company communicated its hiring decision promptly rather than ghosting me. However, the rejection did not include any meaningful feedback after the time invested in the interview process.
