Spoke with talent acquisition personnel and it went extremely well. I checked off all the boxes and with a ton of experience for the role.
They have you take theses assessment tests and personality profiles prior to being invited to a face to face.
Then prior to the face to face two more timed memorization tests are given.
Then during face to face it was one on one which immediately was a red flag for me. There should always be multiple team members in the interview to eliminate the discrimination factor.
However there was only one person, the manager. He asked very basic questions.
Told me he just got off the treadmill before coming to the interview. Not sure why that matters.
He also said he didn’t like his people spending all day “watching freaking YouTube” and that they should be reading books and up to date with daily events. Sounds like a dictator instead of a manager.
Asked me some more questions which I answered extremely well and I even asked him some important questions which he could not answer. It was very clear that I had much more experience than he did.
And I got the impression right away he felt intimidated and regardless of how well I did I was not going to be extended an offer or invited to another interview.
Beware of companies that don’t have more than one person interviewing such as Uhline as this is in my opinion what happened.
Probably best to look elsewhere for a quality company that does not discriminate.
