The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Virginia Beach, VA) in Aug 2011
Interview
The application is online and consists of a personality test. Then they called me for a group interview which only consisted of 1 other girl because the rest never showed up. We were asked questions like "Define customer service" "How do you handle difficult customers" "name a time you went out of your way to help someone". Then you get a tour of the store and where everything is. Me and the girl were both hired on the spot. However it took a month to actually start because we had to wait for the Store Manager to call us for our orientation date and the home office took forever to send in the nessecary documents. She actually had to set our orientation date back by 1 day because she didn't get our information in.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Miami, FL) in Jun 2015
Interview
Pretty easy, it was just for a temporary position so they only asked a few questions and told me they'd see me soon to stock for the store opening. There would be an orientation and the task would only be for 6 days. I didn't know that Task (Temporary) would be so short but I didn't mind since I really like Ulta and they said we could shop the store before it opened. I wouldn't mind applying for a real part-time though.
I applied online. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Marlboro, NJ) in Jun 2014
Interview
Applied online and heard back within a couple days or so, received a phone call (which I missed), then had an interview at the store. The store was busy so we had the interview next door at the Whole Foods cafe. Typical interview, no pressure. Got the job, however the job was very temporary (only for a week). I wore business casual.
