I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Dubuque, IA) in May 2013
Interview
I filled out a detailed application and assessment online, I received a call roughly 3 weeks later from the assistant manager asking for an interview. I went for an interview a few days later, with the assistant manager. It was a fairly laid back interview, very friendly and raving about how much she loves Ulta and why it's an amazing place to work. I felt that I did well in the interview but not overly confident about the outcome. I was told I would be contacted for a second interview. The next day I received a phone call from the assistant manager telling me that they were so impressed with me that there was no need for a second interview. I was elated. I went to orientation with 2 other girls a few days later. It was a laid back look at working at Ulta, a couple training videos and a tour of the store. I met a few employees and they all seemed very kind and knowledgeable.

Straight-forward. One in person one on one interview with a manager. Short process and the manager was friendly. This was during the seasonal hiring time so I started working ASAP.
