I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty
Interview
Applied online and got a call about 2 days later to schedule my interview for the next day. I basically sat down and she offered me the position because of my past work experience. She went through the usual questions but stated more than once that I already got the position, she just had to go through them anyway. She then asked me if I had any questions. She offered me a pay a lot lower than I requested because they were only hiring for seasonal. I didn't say anything but I guess she could tell I was turned off by it because she said that come February (end of seasonal), I would most likely be kept and I would be able to negotiate my wage. The process took less than a week and the interview itself was less than 10 minutes. The interviewer was very polite and professional. Everything was exactly what you'd expect a retail interview to be like. TIP: express your customer service skills. It's all about the customer!

Question 1
-Tell us about your past work experience and what it was like (what you did, what you learned, things like that)
-What made you choose Ulta (it caters to a large crowd: it has high end products, drugstore products, a full hair salon, and skincare)
-Describe a time when you received great customer service (your own experience)
You're asked about your previous work experience and if you have any transferrable skills to contribute to the workplace. Personality alignment and foreign languages were mentioned as well. They asked me about scheduling preferences and gave me a date for training.

Straight-forward. One in person one on one interview with a manager. Short process and the manager was friendly. This was during the seasonal hiring time so I started working ASAP.
