I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty (Phoenix, AZ) in Oct 2010
Interview
I applied online and was called in for an interview a few days later.
The initial interview was fine - the interviewer had a sheet of paper she was reading from that had ordinary interview questions on it. She jotted down notes as I spoke. She obviously liked me because she set up a second interview with the General Manager.
I arrived for the second interview five minutes early. The woman I had the first interview with asked me to wait at the back of the store and she said the GM would come get me in a few minutes. I must have waited for 35 minutes. The GM finally came out and apologized.
The second interview was ridiculous. This woman was completely unorganized and uninterested. She asked me the same exact questions that the lady asked on the first interview, then she asked what the first lady told me about the job. I thought that it was unprofessional that the two interviewers weren't communicating about what had been done in their interviews. At the end she told me that she still had a few people to interview. We'll see if I get the job but I'm guessing not because I was pretty ticked off the whole time I was interviewing. Not that I would want to work for a company like that.
