I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uniqlo (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2013
Interview
Received an offer for an interview through an on campus recruitment process. Met one on one with representative regarding the 12-18 mo training program that eventually leads to a position as a 'store manager' (though this could actually only be a promotion to a 'department manager'). The interview began 20 minutes late and included a very poorly done logic-based question (i.e., somewhat similar to a case question for a consultant agency, albeit less effective and clear). The recruiter accidentally let it slip that there are still cultural issues as UNIQLO attempts to segue its company culture into the United States. A bit disappointed with the interview process, to be honest.

Question 1
Logic based question: How many jeans were sold in Japan last year (correct answer is 1.8 million, but they're interested to see how you go about diagnosing the problem. Very poorly executed; when asked what the total consumer market size of Japan was, she said it was in excess of 500 million....)?
It went pretty smoothly and was enjoyable. If given the chance I would apply for the program again next time. Recommend people to give it a try to gain more experience.
