I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at United Airlines (Las Vegas, NV) in May 2016
Interview
Hire Vue Interview was very quick. Asked me 6 questions. I prepared before hand by typing my answers to a dozen potential questions. Hire vue gives you 30 Seconds to prepare so just have them in front of you for reference.
Why would you personally make a great United Airlines flight attendant?
I have over 10 years’ experience in customer service where I have learnt many skills needed to work in this industry. I love to look after, serve and make people happy. From learning how to work under pressure when I worked in a busy Las Vegas restaurant to understanding the importance of policies and safety procedures while working in a famous animal rescue center in London. I feel my bubbly yet gentle personality would make a customer’s experience unique and my confidence would guide them on their journey feeling safe.
Explain a time at work when you were proud of yourself
At BDCH I was trained as a fire safety officer. One normal morning the fire alarm started going off. I switched into my role and started to guide all customers and employees out of the building in a very calm and confident way. Even though my heart was beating my training had given me the confidence and knowledge to do my role without having to think.
Tell us about a situation you wished you had handled differently at work.
When I first worked at the Animal rescue center I quickly learned that time management is the most important thing to make the most of your days with the dogs. I would be taking on projects for many dogs without thinking if I had time in a day to do all tasks. I was excited and wanted to excel and help as many canine friends as possible. I realized after my first couple of weeks that I has taken too much on. I went to my manager and we talked it over and she gave me some great ideas on how to make the most of my time throughout the day. In fact I did have time I just was not organizing my day correctly.
Tell us about UA
Diversity and inclusion is in the mission statement. United is focused on being the airline customers want to fly, the airline employees want to work for and the airline shareholders want to invest in.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about you?
I am very excited for the possibility of starting a career in this industry. I have a passion for customer service and enjoy making people smile. I hold true respect for flight attendants who have gone through training and are now running a plane with grace and confidence. This is what I aspire to be.

I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
