I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at United Airlines (Colorado Springs, CO) in Jul 2016
Interview
I completed my application online on 7/17/2016. I received an email to do the video interview less than 24 hours later, and just completed my video interview about five minutes ago on 7/19/2016. I highly suggest reading through glassdoor to get the interview questions. Every single one I was asked was listed on this site. I went through glassdoor and copy and pasted every interview question and typed out my answers. I turned on my regular webcam app on my laptop and recorded myself in a mock interview a few times just so I could get comfortable and figure out what I needed to correct. (tip: don't slouch, you look super frumpy on camera. AND smile.) I did the practice questions. Definitely do these, it doesn't record them. During the actual interview, I pulled up my answers in the front window and used the 30 seconds to prepare to scroll and find my answer. I brought my answer window to the top of the screen so it looked like I was looking at the camera, and I used the window to also block out my face, which I also found helpful. Your mind wanders to self scrutiny if you're watching yourself and it's easy to loose your train of thought. From what I've read, United has pretty quick responses to the video interviews, so I will update when I hear anything!
