I applied on July 20, 2016 at around 9:30PM for the position as a German Speaking Flight Attendant because I am a German Citizen and live in the United States since April 2014. I got the following day (July 21, 2016) at 9:20AM the E-Mail saying that I came one step further in the hiring process and they are wanting me to do the Video Interview.... I have been a flight attendant back in Germany already so I have a lot of experience in that area and still I was very excited about this invitation! I prepared myself the whole day and did the next morning on July 22, 2016 my video interview. I did watch the preparation Video and did a few test and none recorded questions before starting my real interview. Make sure you dress professional and for the business appropriate!
You have 30 seconds to prepare your answer after the 30 seconds they count from 3 down and start recording you after for your answer. You have 3 minutes to answer the question. I sometimes finished earlier then 3 minutes but I always made sure that my answers aren't too short and have a good amount of information before I stopped the recording process. I had a total of five questions and I felt good about them.. I was a little more nervous during the first answer I gave but was getting more calm during the process... I was smiling during the whole process but even more (!) when they gave me the last question on the screen which was kinda like: "Please answer the following question in the language that you have been applying for - Why do you want to work for United Airlines"
And my 30 seconds started to go down and thought about the answer I should give ... Which was in GERMAN! :D what a good and funny way this video interview was... Hopefully I come further in the process, this was definitely a very good experience so far!
