I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at United Airlines (Newark, NJ) in Aug 2016
Interview
When I sat down in the room with 13 other candidates for the flight attendant position there was a very short slide show about the job and what it has to offer. After that they asked if we had any questions, several of us asked them, I recommend always asking questions because one of the questions that were asked ended up being asked in my F2F interview. After that was done 6 people came in and started to call off names, if you name was called you were up! I wasn't called until the second round. but once I was we went into this room that had little cubicles and everyone else was in there as well. Once I started my interview my nerves went away for the most part. The gut that interviewed me was very personal and made it so easy for me. At the end he explained to me that there will be a 10 year back ground check up, and my references will be called. If I were to get the job a drug/sight test is mandatory. He also explained that being on reserve my first couple years means long work hours and working on holidays. He also said that I will be most likely be stationed away from home. I needed to tell him that I understand that and I am still willing to do so. At the end he said I will hear back in a week if I got the job or not. it hasn't been a week yet but im constantly checking my email!
**Just make sure you sit up straight in your chair, talk slow and clear, shake the hands of whoever is interviewing you AND SMILE.**
