Everything seemed to be going well until the second interview. As the recruiter (who had told us earlier he was not there to interview anyone) walked me down the hall to the next room, he told me they "were not going to keep me long" and that they just had some "additional questions". We entered a very small room where another man waited. They both began to ask questions, though the first one seemed more intent on staring at me to see if my smile was going to falter. Based on the second man's reaction to my answers, I realized he did not understand some of my responses-perhaps a language issue?-and, at one point, he began naming other airlines that were hiring, and recommended I apply to them which I thought was completely unnecessary and rude. I have been in the workforce for many years, and have been turned down for jobs in the past, so I know you win some you lose some. Up to that point, I had enjoyed the process, regardless of whether or not I was selected, but this "interview" felt quite confrontational, as if they weren't convinced I really wanted to work there, or deserved to, and they were determined to prove their suspicions were correct. If they did not feel I was a good fit for their company, that is fine and is their prerogative, but, there was no need to waste either of our time going through a second interview and using that as a platform to play games and flex muscles.
