      Flight Attendant Interview

      Sep 8, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines in Jun 2016

      Interview

First was the online application. Don't worry about adding a cover letter, I didn't add one and was then asked to do a video interview. After that successful one way online interview, then invited me to the face to face. They provided my flight itinerary from Seattle to san Fran but not hotel. I arrived at the interview early, to mingle with other candidates. Don't be overly excited or outgoing. Don't talk about drinking or other in appropriate events. Be on time and look the part. Put your hair in a bun, wear flats, and be gracious. Make sure your resume is appropriate to the job, that was my mistake. Emphasis on customer service and sales if that was your thing. But make it clear and concise. When they call your name, walk to the front, and then down the aisle, which shows graciousness. Then sit patiently. I was given one 15 min interview and then showed where the bus stop was back to the airport. I knew I didn't get it. But the experience is worthwhile. It allows you to understand the procedure and make improvements where you lacked. Since then, I made it to the final interview of Emirates and virgin america. It was a great learning experience. If you want United, present a great resume, show grace, and be quiet and nice. If you have any experience with an airline, you will get it. It was a shame that I felt like I was filler, but so was everyone else. No one I know made it past the first interview, but when I interviewed for Emirates I met people that got offers from United. Just have a clear resume focused on flight attendant, and don't be the loudest-funniest-over speaker.
