I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
I submitted my application on Monday, 9/26, received an invitation for a video interview on Tuesday 9/27, submitted my video interview on Saturday 10/1, and received an invitation for a F2F on the following Thursday, 9/6.
It seems the F2F is the actual hard part. I wouldn't sweat the video interview. They give you unlimited practices so that's one way to make sure you have an idea of what to expect and what you'll look and sound like. The questions on the interview are also very similar to the practice ones and there are just 5 questions.
