Quick process. United Airlines is pretty on top of their stuff compared to other airlines. Heard back within 1 week to complete video interview after submitting my resume/application. Was offered a F2F a couple of weeks later. Completed the F2F in early November 2018...a couple of weeks ago. You are interviewed by very nice flight attendants. When you arrive to the recruitment center, you are greeted and will most likely be sitting with other waiting candidates. Talk with other people and get to know them! It will help ease your nerves and also shows you're outgoing. I made some new friends and it's good to have those connections. You are then taken into a room with everyone else interviewing that day and are shown a video about life as a flight attendant and then 2 flight attendants do a Q & A with you. Ask questions! After that they exit and leave you all to mingle. Stay OFF your phone and engage with those around you. One by one, or in pairs, you are called out and are off to interview. You will either be interviewed by 1 or 2 FA's. After that, you are sent to a waiting room. Then someone will come and call your name. Me and a couple of others were called out and were told that they have no further questions for us, we will hear from them via email within a week and showed us out to a shuttle headed back to the airport. This is a bad sign. We instantly we knew we did not get the position. Getting a second interview after the first interview is a very good sign. Some people were given CJO's and were sent to drug test. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to reapplying (they tell you that you are more than welcome to after 6 months!) I understand that the recruiters read this and I would like to offer some constructive criticism. The time allotted to each candidate for an interview is very short. We fly in to be asked a couple of quick questions and my group and I felt it was not nearly enough time to gauge our competence. On top of this, it was very difficult to wait a week for the rejection email after it was already clear we were not selected. It would be great to hear back a day or two after. Not a week, especially if they know they aren't going to offer us the position. Overall, it was a good experience. My new friends and I are pretty bummed we didn't get the opportunity to showcase our skills but we know the door is open to reapply and are excited for what the future holds...with any airline. The application/interviewing process for any flight attendant position is long and can become depressing, but keep your head up! You WILL get something eventually.
