      Flight Attendant Interview

      Jan 30, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Houston, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Jan 2020

      Interview

Applied and did the video interview back in August. Finally got the email for a face to face maybe a few weeks to a month ago, I took the latest available date. Face to face was a good experience, we did a quick introduction and a little ice breaking trivia game based on a video. The four recruiters were friendly and made us feel relaxed. My group was small, only about 15 people which was great. It felt easier to stand out and feel confident with a smaller group. After that they took us for face to face interviews. My first interview took about 15 minutes maybe. Then they led me to a room where a few other interviewers were and said to wait until they came back to speak with me. The others had interviews ranging from maybe 5 minutes up until 25. They came back to get us one by one, I assumed they were all second interviews but it turns out they were sending some home. I got called and had a second interview with two recruiters. They asked me a few situational questions but this interview was shorter. They then led me out where a van was waiting, and said I would get an email in a week. By the time my plane landed at home I had the email with a job offer. The interview day overall was fun, I enjoyed meeting the other interviewers and the recruiters made the process easier and more relaxed. I'm currently with a regional airline and I think that helped- even some bilingual people I was grouped with didn't get a second interview.
