      Interview

      There is a written assessment (usually 3 hours, to be done online). The exam focuses on substantive issues. It is followed by a competency-based interview. It is based on CAR -> Context: Give a brief context. Action: Outline actions attributable to you. Results: Demonstrate the impact you had.

      The process took 2 days. I interviewed at United Nations (New York, NY) in Nov 2011

      Interview

      After passing an economics exam, I was invited to New York to interview with a panel. The panel asked a variety of questions relating to my professional background and current work. The questions were competency-based and the atmosphere was respectful and friendly. At the end they asked a variety of organization-specific questions about the UN and its history.

      I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at United Nations

      First step was a written test but I am still waiting for results. 4 questions, 3 open ended and one interpretation of related couple of graphs. One of the open ended question was completely about my opinion on a subject and the other two were description if concepts and correlations between variables.
