I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Costa Mesa, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
The hiring process for me went very well. I applied first online to the opening on their website. Was prompted to take the assessment immediately. Once you pass the initial assessment, you will be sent a second assessment that's customer service video scenarios and also Data entry. Very simple and easy to take. About a week later I was contacted by recruitment to set up a phone interview. A week later I had my phone interview which consisted of going over your work experience, background and you're asked three scenario questions. My recruiter was amazing .. I felt very comfortable with him and the questions he asked me were very easy. But it's very important that you're detailed and thorough. Based on your phone interview, the recruiter will let you know if they feel like you should have a final interview and will set it up. When I went for my final interview, I met with two call center supervisors .. They went through the same process as the recruiter and asked me three questions as well collectively. We also spent a lot of time talking about what to expect on the job and about United Health being a family. They were also very interested in who I was as a person so at that point I knew I had the job. I was told that they would contact the recruiter by the end of the week to let me know. I had my interview on a Monday and was contacted that following Wednesday and was offered the position. You must SELL yourself. But be true and honest. And be very detailed when answering the questions. Also emphasize on a long term career.
