The interview was a bit of a long process but very straightforward. It took about two months from application to offer, but on a positive note, you were informed of each step as you progress.
It started with an iHire interview, or a digitally and visually recorded interview on an app of three short questions revolving around data analysis and managing multiple priorities. I thought I bombed it but did well enough to make it to the next stage. This app is odd and unnatural feeling but remember to DRESS like you're going on a regular interview and to look into the camera.
About two weeks later, I received a call from a recruiter who had a base interview scheduled for me with her. She asked me basic questions about my experience and why I wanted to leave my company, nothing about the job itself. She told me that she would present me to the hiring manager. About a month went by before I was notified about the next step and I really thought I didn't get it! But I ended up getting a call and the next step was scheduled. After this portion, the process got incredibly faster.
The next step was a bit stressful, it was a phone interview with the hiring manager (the position I applied for was virtual so there was no actual meeting but this could be in person). It wasn't a typical phone interview as we got right into the details of the position. There weren't really any BBI style questions but rather a discussion about how my background fit into the role I applied for. Be sure to have this information prepared. I was able to draw attention to several parallels between what I do now and how it can lead to success in the role I applied for. The call lasted about 50 minutes, it included a description of the team, what the job entailed and I was allowed to ask questions at the end. The hiring manager told me that I was moving to the next level which was an interview with two senior members of his team.
This was scheduled the same week. I had a discussion with two team members about the specifics of the positions. Here I asked a lot of questions regarding the team itself, management style etc. I was also about to explain what I did and how I could fit into the team. I sent thank you letters to all people involved in both interviews.
This was on a Friday. I received a job offer on Tuesday of the following week.
