      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Upgrade (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2024

      Interview

it involved a couple rounds: recruiter call, hiring manager call, VP of Product call, CTO call, marketing director call. hardest interview was the CTO call where he really drills you down whereas the other calls felt more like a culture fit interview, mostly behavioral and understanding the experience

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Upgrade (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2024

      Interview

Quick phone interview followed by a 2 hour in person meeting with three different people. Two out of 3 were nice. The last guy’s ended the interview trying to debate about salary. He ended with the job won’t be a fit simply because of my expectations (only slightly higher than the posted rate, which had already been discussed in the phone interview prior to coming on site). I left feeling frustrated as the company had just wasted 2 hours of my time, not to mention I had to pay for parking to access the site. My overall impression of the office was that they’re inexperienced and unprofessional.
