      Customer Support Representative Interview

      Feb 10, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Upgrade (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2018

      Interview

The first round was a simple phone screen to see how much you know about the company and the role you are interviewing. Then they had me come in for an in-person interview with three of the supervisors that you would be working under. Two of the guys that I spoke to were very friendly, but the last one did not seem interested at all and was honestly kind of uncomfortable to speak to. I don't believe any interviewer should ever say "I think that you are just telling me what you think I want to hear" to a candidate. After that encounter, I did not think that I would be getting that job, and I got an email almost two weeks later stating that they have moved on to other candidates. Overall, not the best experience.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Upgrade (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2017

      Interview

I applied in October of 2017 via LinkedIn. I was contacted by a recruiter to do an initial phone screening, where we discussed the role, my interest in the role, and about Upgrade. The phone screening went really well and I was happy when I was invited for the onsite interview. The interview was 3 consecutive rounds of interviews. One with the Customer Service supervisor, the manager, and then the director of the department. The interviews had standard questions about my background, why I was interested in Upgrade, what I like about customer service, etc. The end of each interview was more conversational so they can get a better idea of your personality. I was called later that day with a job offer from the recruiter and manager. I started 3 weeks later, and have been very happy at Upgrade Inc!!
