Met with the recruiter and had a great conversation regarding the role. Was contacted 2 hours later to schedule time with the hiring manager. Meeting with the hiring manager went well and was well organized. He indicated they were just starting the hiring process and that other candidates are under consideration. I have since reached out to the recruiter 3 or 4 times and have not received a response regarding my application. Still holding out hope that the process will have a happy ending because the firm seems pretty attractive.
