Upthere, Inc interview questions

I had two onsite interviews with this company and in that time received three completely different descriptions as to the responsibilities and qualifications required for the role. The descriptions differed to such an extent that no single candidate could have reasonable expected to qualify for more than one of the three descriptions. In the end I was told that although "they really liked" me and thought that I was "a really great culture fit", they would pass on me. My advice to UpThere is that the team should seriously discuss and agree on the duties, responsibilities, and qualifications of a role before interviewing for it. I mean, I realize that UpThere is a startup operating in "stealth mode", but must the responsibilities and qualifications of a role be considered too confidential to disclose to a candidate?
