Fairly straightforward three round process: phone screening, technical one-on-one with hiring manager, and on-site intensive panel interview. Interviews were not balanced and did not allow me much time to ask my own questions but were instead heavy deep dives into my technical background supplemented by school exam-like questions. In addition, there was not much communication between rounds, and after the one-on-one, it took so long to get back I thought I had been ghosted. The on-site interview required a 45 minute presentation about my technical background, followed by a continuous string of one-on-one panels with various team members. People were generally friendly, and they emphasized cultural fit. I had the impression that I was a strong contender and answered interview questions well. Unfortunately, I was met with a rejection notice with a vague statement about not aligning enough with the role, similar to another reviewer here, which was quite perplexing given their interest in me and general positivity regarding my interview.
