I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vaco (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2022
Interview
I was responded in just 3 days after I pinged my resume to the HR on LinkedIn. The first interview was phone screen, I was asked just 2-3 basic questions, the most time was the HR talking about the job and the company, the last 5-10 mins was for me asking additional questions and . The entire phone-screening was about 15 mins. A few days later I got an email to schedule the next interview with the team. The HR was super efficient and nice, I was suggested some possible interview questions to prepare. The second interview took around 30 mins. There were a team lead, a training lead and a language specialist. The first 20 mins was for basic and field knowledge based questions. Most questions were situational questions. The last 10 mins was spent to test my linguistic knowledge. I was offered the position a week later. The interview process was smooth. HR was very friendly and supportive.
I applied online. I interviewed at Vaco in Mar 2026
Interview
Smooth and they asked mostly about the language fluency and behavioral analytical skills. They asked about being able to work morning shift. Salary is fair since it is work from home.
Took place in target language. They make sure you can have a conversation, read an article, and if you're aware of cultural conventions. Then you look at some pictures to see what is and ain't appropriate for the language you're interviewing in.
easy going interview with basic behavioral questions, 1 interview with 2 people, they give you a small language test in english and your native language, they will contact you by phone within a few days for the result
