a recruiter reached out to me regarding a job application. He asked me some basic questions about my experience and mentioned that he was excited about my résumé and the opportunity for me to join the team. He explained the job details and informed me that he would send my information to the higher manager, adding that I would receive feedback about the interview. Even if it didn’t work out this time, he expressed his willingness to find me a position within the company.
I spoke with the higher manager, and the questions were quite easy. The manager complimented my performance, which I took as a good sign. I confirmed that I had the required skills and experience, and the manager advised me to follow up the following week.
I did follow up the next week, but unfortunately, there was no response from the recruiter. I waited another week before reaching out again, but still received no reply. It’s very disappointing to prepare for an interview, feel excited about the opportunity, and then not hear back from them.
