There were two steps in the interviews: (1) a meeting with the potential mentor; (2) a Job talk to the Postdoctoral committee (sometimes they do this as an open-to-the-public presentation as well). Meeting with the potential mentor would involve checking whether my research interest aligns well with the mentor's research. The second step of the interview would be to provide my career and research plans.
