Interview
I interviewed with Vanta in November 2024. The process took around four weeks and was very smooth and well-organized. At each stage, the recruiter kept me informed about what to expect and provided regular follow-ups. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the team’s transparency and the thoughtful questions they asked. I also enjoyed how the interviews felt more like informal conversations rather than formal interviews. Overall, the experience gave me a great understanding of the role, company, culture, and what to expect once joining—which I appreciated the most.

Interview
I met with a recruiter who was pleasant enough. She was clear and concise enough on the job description and the interview process. I then met with the hiring manager for a one on one interview and a brief 'assessment exercise'.
He spent the first twenty minutes or so talking and did not ask me any questions about myself or my background. He asked a couple somewhat arbitrary questions which didn't feel particularly relevant to the role or getting a feel for the relevancy of my experiences.
We were scheduled for 45 minutes and we didn't even begin the 'assessment exercise' until our allotted time was nearly up. He took us over time nearly to a full hour without acknowledging that we had gone over the time slot which felt rude and disrespectful.
I received an email that I was no longer in consideration with no further explanation. I am glad I didn't get an offer, this guy would have been terrible to work for.
