I interviewed at Vasion (Lehi, UT)
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter, then with hiring manager, then with product marketing, then with stakeholders, then annum person with some of the same people in 1:1s again and then in group and then lunch with CEO, COO, others.
Gotcha questions. Silly outdated, canned questions. Conversation at lunch was driven by CEO who seemed driven to talk about his personal interests. Afterwards, COO didn’t even had the courtesy to come thank me for driving all the way to St. George to do the interview with people whom I already interviewed. Entirely unprofessional. Maybe that’s why they’re looking to fill that role again.
Initially, I met with the recruiter over the phone and then the hiring VP via zoom Then, I had 5 more zoom interviews including a panel interview. Beyond these 7 separate interviews (with 10 people in all), I then drove out to St. George and interviewed again with people I've already interviewed with and a few additional individuals. I then had lunch with 2 of them and the CEO. After that, I had 3 more interviews back to back.
In all, I met and interviewed 15 times for a mid level role! The process feels like its focus is on uncovering "gotchas" moments.
The worst part of this was the CPO with whom I met three times (who invited me to St. George) didn't even say thank you for coming out to speak with them. He didn't even show up to say say good bye as I left the building. And he certainly didn't respond to a thank you email I sent him.
Looking back, given my experience, I would not have been happy working there.

Question 1
How do you feel about product marketing reporting into product management rather than marketing?
