I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Veeva Systems in May 2020
Interview
The first-round interview consisted of a brief 30 min video call with a friendly HR representative who explained the role and asked several questions. It was very culture-focused. At the end of the call, the HR representative told me to keep an eye on my inbox for the second-round development Java coding challenges. Several days later, I received an email from the HR representative letting me know that they would not be moving forward with my application. I was a bit confused because of what was said in the call and had already spent some time reviewing my Java and preparing for the coding challenges, so I was disappointed to hear they had changed their mind. However, due to Covid-19, I understand that there are probably more applicants than usual so they must be extremely picky when selecting applicants, and the decision probably came from someone higher up than the HR representative. One thing I did that I believe negatively impacted my interview was appear too interested in consulting, while the Internship was not a consulting role. In the rejection email, the HR rep included some other consulting positions at Veeva for future consideration. Overall, the experience in the interview was nice, but the results were misleading and disappointing.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Where do you see yourself living after graduation?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (Pleasanton, CA) in Sep 2025
Interview
Starts with behavioural interview (30 mins): interviewer asks about resume review, why veeva, where do you see yourself 5 years from now, familiarity with Java, etc. Once you clear that, you get an OA (2 Java questions): need to know Java dsa (LinkedList, PriorityQueue). You move onto team day (coffee chat, technical coding interview, break, technical interview(job history)). Couple of things I found weird is that I was never scheduled for EDP overview and during the interview they asked about all of my grades and why it dipped from an A to A-. It was all super weird process especially when none of the team members interviewing me were from good colleges ( Cal East Bay, Chico State, SFSU, etc) or any good grades.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Veeva Systems in Dec 2024
Interview
Whole process took around 3-4 weeks. Completed phone screen. Received OA. Got invited to a Team Day which had 5 rounds (coffee chat, resume review, 2 technical rounds, program overview). The employees were very nice and I learned a lot. The technical was one leetcode medium and one part was debugging a file.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2024
Interview
3 stage interview:
1. Behavioral interview screening with HR recruiter
2. OA in Java (LC easy/med)
3. Team day - 4 back-to-back interviews with various members of your team. Includes behavioral and technical portions.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at Veeva? (they seem to care about this a lot)
