I had a call with the head of recruitment, who comes off as very obviously racist and rude. I was reached out to for the role, the first time- they interviewed me and asked me to get back on what I was looking for, when I did, I got an automatic rejection. I noticed the role was still open a year later, and was now actually applying to jobs, so I thought I would chat with them. A month later, they respond and set my interview up- in a week, obviously, by this time, I have other interviews lined up. But my oh my! the questions were so badgering, asking me about why I left my visa to look for another job, making me feel so uncomfy, He didn't remember meeting before and started making up random things I never said before. Every question after that was posed to make me feel small, for not being an EU citizen, for deciding to resign, and for looking for roles after I took a short break. If all this wasn't a bad enough experience, the call ended with him saying- Let me know how your interviews go, and then we can take it ahead, but a day later, another automated rejection 😂 If you are joining the talent team, think twice about who you would like to have lead you. Definitely not someone who treats candidates this way! Also they have removed my review but I’ll keep trying to put it here so the person reading this has a benefit.
