The recruiter reached out to me via an automated email. I scheduled a 20 minute screening call. The day of, I receive another automated emailing stating she couldn’t get ahold of me with another invitation to schedule a meeting. I had my phone in hand and waited for an hour, double checked and had people call to make sure there were no service snafus on my end, she completely ghosted me. I sent two emails following up which have gone unanswered. I think the recruiter decided not to move forward and rather than cancelling, ghosted me. Really rude and unprofessional. I don’t think I’ve ever had a recruiter reach out to me, ghost me, then have the nerve to send me a second automated scheduling email. Also, to add insult to injury, I reached out to her twice asking politely if we were still scheduled to meet and for her to call me and she completely ignored me. I understand if you went in a different direction or filled the role but have the common decency to email and respond to your candidates after ghosting them! Also, do not send automated scheduling emails repeatedly if you plan on ghosting them. Don’t bother reaching out to candidates if you plan on doing this, I did not reach out to the company. They reached out to me then ghosted me and left my inquiry emails unanswered. The cheek of this company, really.
