I connected with them through a recruiter (who was excellent) and went through several rounds of phone calls before an on-site interview. The recruiter kept me very in the loop and prepared for the next round at each step.

Question 1
Pretty heavy on networking. OSI you should know like the back of your hand. Be able to speak comfortably on all the popular protocols, symmetric and asymmetric encryption. You'll also want to have the basics of navigating a unix shell and a couple SQL statements.
Invited to do a Zoom interview over email with options to select times, then conducted and initial interview, did not end up getting a second interview but they had the further steps described on their website

I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada in Jul 2024
Interview
Super unprofessional as I recently had an interview with HR and it initially went well. HR assured me I would move on to the next steps, which got me excited about the opportunity. However, despite their promise, they never scheduled the next interview. My follow-up email went unanswered and wasted my time.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Dec 2022
Interview
Interview was pretty long. Took almost 2 months. The process was initial call, then zoom meeting with the manager then another interview in person. Seems like a great company to work for but the process is extremely long. Some people may not have the savings to keep afloat for that long. Not to sound crazy but visiting the office, right when you enter the door it doesn't seem like a lot of diversity. There might have been a few but definitely felt like only 1% of the company is POC. Hopefully that wouldn't be the reason why I wasn't offered the role.
