Very long two hour interviews each time. There is a phone interview and three after. Be ready to take tests and get homework. There may even be a dinner interview.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Vert Markets, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Based on reviews I knew how intensive the interview process would be so I wasn’t surprised when I was asked to take an IQ test as well as an additional assessment.
What threw me off was the ask to do an essay on what life lessons I’ve learned. This felt like something a high school student would write for a college application. It also felt too personal and invasive. I didn’t feel it was appropriate to share very personal life experiences during the interview process.
I totally understand the company wanting to evaluate a candidate’s writing skills but in my opinion that writing assignment should be related to the job itself.
While the job itself was fully in my wheelhouse and I think a great fit for my skill set, I just felt too put off by the interview process and knowing that much more was to come based on reviews, I rescinded my application.
