The interview is for an entry level HR Coordinator position at the Chicago location and they were asking me questions about labor laws, situational questions and other questions that would pertain to an HR Manager position, not an HR Coordinator position. I could easily answer all the questions that was asked to me as I have an HR degree and a SHRM-CP certificate and the person who interviewed me does not. I knew after the interview I wouldn't get a call back because I would be a good candidate to take away this person's job. Going to this interview was an entire waste of my time and money to prepare, commute to and from the hotel, and pay for parking. I am rating the interview as difficult for for the reason that I believe many of the questions that were asked were not suitable for an HR Coordinator position, but instead they were suitable for a HR Manager position. I did find answering these questions as easy, but I feel others will not feel the same way as me. I applied for the HR Coordinator position 4 weeks ago and had the interview 3 weeks ago. I see 3 weeks after my interview that Viceroy Hotel Chicago has placed another ad for the HR Coordinator position. I feel Viceroy Hotel Chicago is showing disparate impact by not selecting qualified candidates for this position as I have all the skills, knowledge, and requirements to do the HR Coordinator position. In addition to this I can perform all the general responsibilities for this position.
